Evenement

Op dinsdag 1 december aanstaande presenteert in de colloquiareeks 2015 – 2016 van het Expertisecentrum – dr. Hans van Dijk verbonden aan de Tilburg University.

Abstract

“Research on the consequences of work group diversity has yielded many inconclusive findings. Building on the suggestion that diversity theory to date has suffered from a myopic focus on outcomes and has failed to consider its underlying dynamics (Cronin & Weingart, 2011; Humphrey & Aime, 2014), I present two studies that outline (a) how stereotypes
initiate self-reinforcing attributional and behavioral dynamics, and (b) how third-party endorsements may overcome such self-reinforcing effects on the status of individual members in diverse work groups.”
